The world’s largest multiple sclerosis conference begins this week.  ECTRIMS (the European Committee for Treatment and Research In Multiple Sclerosis) brings together researchers and clinicians from around the world.  In 2020, the conference will be a joint meeting between ECTRIMS and ACTRIMS (the American version).  Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting, which was scheduled to be held in Washington DC, will now be take place completely online.

Over the last couple of years, MStranslate has travelled to ECTRIMS to provide coverage of this fantastic event.  You can review all of our content from the 2018 meeting in Berlin and 2019 meeting in Stockholm here.  Despite our inability to attend the 2020 conference in person, MStranslate will still be part of the virtual meeting and will endeavour to cover as many different topics as possible.

To keep you up to date with our plans for the event, we’ve summarised some of the key information below for you.  If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to share them with us on social media, or you can send them to Brett directly via e-mail (brett@mstranslate.com.au).

Summary Formats

We will be generating content in a variety of different formats to suit the different needs of our community.  As with previous meetings, this will primarily be a combination of written and video summaries.  As always, we will also attempt to record interviews with researchers from around the world to discuss the work that they have presented.

We are looking forward to hearing all of the fantastic research that is shared at MS Virtual 2020 and to communicating it with you.  We hope that you are also excited and encourage you to interact and engage with all of this content throughout the coming week.

YAY MStranslate! Good to see the ‘sessions’ you will be attending Brett! By any chance will you and Travis be pairing up to go to different sessions and report back? It would be good to know about some other sessions, ie remyelination, HSCT and some others I can’t remember at the moment (cog fog?!?!?!).

I know whatever part you take in the conference you will report back to us all, just wondering if you will be able to do the double act like last year. Thanks for everything you do for pwMS! Cathy
