Facebook Live: General Research Update – June 2020

On June 4, 2020, our co-founder and chief science communicator, Brett Drummond, held a Facebook Live event to explain and discuss some of the more recent developments in multiple sclerosis research.

Topics covered included:

    • Stem cell therapies
    • High-dose biotin
    • Lipoic acid
    • Fatigue management and MitoQ
    • B cells and their role in MS

The opportunity was also taken to more broadly explain and compare currently available treatments, such as ocrevus, siponimod and lemtrada. Finally, Brett shared his views on redefining a cure for multiple sclerosis in the short-term, while an actual cure for the disease remains an unknown.
