Research Summary: Complete Epstein-Barr virus seropositivity in a large cohort of patients with early multiple sclerosis

A German study involving 901 people living with early multiple sclerosis (MS) has found that 100% of participants had antibodies against the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Performed by researchers at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, this research provides further compelling evidence that infection with EBV may play a role in multiple sclerosis.
