MStranslate is excited to be presenting on the role of social media in science communication at the Melbourne Brain Centre’s annual symposium in 2013. We hope to get attendees excited about the opportunities to inform, engage and share with those both interested in, and directly affected by, the work that they do.

Conversation and collaboration can only be beneficial to researchers’ work, as it adds context, increases efficiency and enhances understanding. Further, by embracing modern, web-based tools such as social media, researchers and research organisations can achieve these outcomes very cost-effectively, no longer restricted by the barriers often associated with more traditional communication and marketing mediums.
